The Electoral System: Financing the Campaign

Here are a couple of videos as well as an NPR podcast on how US presidential campaigns are financed.
These documents present the system of Super PACS.
You should start by watching and listening to documents 1 and 2. Once you have understood how Super PACS work, the third document (Stephen Colbert) will give you a more satirical insight into that system.
